Every flood, landslide, drought and storm in the BNPB disaster record since 2008, placed on the map and played back through time. The animation slows down and labels the deadliest episodes, so the large events stand out against the steady background of smaller ones.

The events come from the lab’s geocoded BNPB dataset, which locates each record at the sub-district level.
