Climate extremes and food production on Java
Projected rainfall and temperature extremes over Java, the most populous island of Indonesia, and what they mean for rice-growing regions.
Using regional climate simulations, this work maps where and when rainfall and temperature extremes on Java are projected to change, and how those changes line up with the island’s main rice-producing areas.
